In this article we are going to learn how to use CDBurnerXP burning tool to burn any Data on CD-R/CD-RW/DVD+R/DVD-R/DVD+RW/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM/BD/HD-DVD, including double layer mediums.
Let’s get started
1. Download the lightweight burning tool CDBurnerXP from the provided link below or click on its name and run the package installation until you are done with it.
2. After instlling the CDBurnerXP package, lunch it from the where it has been installed to and select the type of project you are interested in from the start screen. If you don’t know what to do with it for now just select data disc.

Let’s assume our interest is to burn Data or Audio disc
To burn a data or audio disc, select your interest and the thing you see is the exposure of the files on your computer on top and the files to be burned at the bottom. You can drag and drop files and folders to the disc. The progress bar at the bottom of the system will indicate the space used and left on the selected burning options. In this case at the bottom in green 66.81 MB space has been used so far and it indicates the amount of file that has been added.
The screen you see below might be slightly different depending on the option you choose do your burning.




On top of the window where you did your selection at the bottom you can decide to burn you data compilation after your burning options as in the speed and any other preferences.




You could do other things like Burning a Video DVD
To burn a Video DVD to be used in a DVD Player, you will go through a different method altogether you can follow these steps and get that done.
Under Burn Options, fill in a preferred disc name for the Disc Name and point CDBurnerXP to the location of the VIDEO_TS folder(the button with the dots ….), you have option to select the type of file being it .vob, .ifo, or .bup file you want to burn. Provide the number of copies you want to make and don’t forget to double-check burn options. Finally, click the Burn disc or Save as ISO… button, depending on what your preferences are
Once it validates whether your files to check if everything is in order then the burning process will commence.




Burn an ISO Image
To burn an ISO file you will be exposed to the same process but make sure you select the right option for the job.




Copy a Disc
You can equally copy a disc’s data to your computer or to another disc after the application saving the copied one .




Cover settings
You can set what is to be printed on the cover of the CD case, it could be a logo or anything that can been printed
